We’re keeping a beady eye on what’s happening in the land of Google + mostly as it pertains to business. We want to be ready to offer publishing for Google Plus pages for businesses if that indeed is the model they go for.
1. A major Vancouver Agency had one of its clients business pages taken shut down by Google Plus pretty much as soon as it went up.
The good people at BrightEdge and Facebook have released a whitepaper titled “FACEBOOK FOR SOCIAL – SEO BEST PRACTICES TO DRIVE ORGANIC SEARCH PERFORMANCE WITH FACEBOOK”.
It has some good tips on optimizing your Facebook page for search. I’m not certain all of them will actually make any difference to search results though.
If you are just getting your Facebook Fan Page up an running, you will notice that Facebook has saddled you with the saddest URL in the world – www.facebook.com/pages/your-buisness-name/88665544332 – it has the subpage of Pages and that long and weird number at the end.
